About Us

We are the Smit family, and welcome to our shop! This journey began in October 2014 as we had a strong desire to spend more time together as a family. Our priorities seemed to have shifted over the years, and we wanted to get back on track. Cottage Industry Enterprises was born out of our desire to have a better work/life/home balance. By creating a workshop on our property, we have a healthy blend of working together while simultaneously spending more quality time with one another. We hope to teach our kids about hard work, quality craftsmanship, and a solid work ethic. Thank you for helping turn our dreams into a reality.
